DISCOVER WINDOW SWAP AND TRAVEL WITHOUT LEAVING YOUR BUBBLE

Back in the earlier days of the pandemic I became addicted to Window Swap which allows you to see out of the window of strangers around the world! Being able to see these slices of life from around the globe was surprisingly satisfying for me in the absence of travel opportunities. Recently, I've become obsessed again as it allows me to escape winter with a few moments of warm, sunny weather.

If you haven’t already experienced Window Swap I recommend that you check it out when you’ve got at least an hour to spare because it can be quite addictive. It’s like Chatroulette for scenic vistas, but without the unwelcomed appearance of some dude’s junk.

The most obvious way to use Window Swap is how I’ve been using it to leave the snow and ice behind and stare tearfully at tropical views. Because the images aren’t static you can actually trick your mind into thinking you’re there as you watch a bird fly by, or as a boat sails blissfully by your window, as I did while enjoying this view from Reunion Island. I'm sure you can find more creative ways to use it, so keep me posted on your experiences.

Looking for something more urban? How about these views from San Diego, or Hong Kong?

For the advanced daydreamers out there, why not sit by a window in Saint Petersburgh, Russia, and imagine that you’re conducting surveillance in a spy thriller. Oh, and don’t forget to have a shaken martini on hand to make the experience more realistic.

Don’t see anything you like and feel you can do better? Show us by submitting your own window to the site and live each day knowing you’ve done your part to reduce human productivity. LOL!

Have you found a good way to daydream about traveling and waste time lately? Let me know what you’ve discovered, mostly so I know I’m not the only one procrastinating during this pandemic! Thanks.
